Olafur Eliasson is an Icelandic-Danish artist known for expressing ideas and integrating social issues through sculptures and large-scale art installations. In 2012, he founded Little Sun, which is a social enterprise that produces solar-powered LED lamps and distributes these solar powered lightings to African countries. By lighting up people’s life, Little Sun improves the quality of living of the villagers. The rationale behind the lamps is now supported by people around the world through different art forms. Mr. Felix Hallwachs, Executive Board Member of Little Sun, will share at Social Enterprise Summit (SES2018) on how art creates social impact by crossing over with economy and community needs across different countries.
